BEST FRIEND SALT MIX
Salt! It’s the mother of us all. All the lore and witchery around salt fills volumes, and could occupy an exceptionally curious person for a lifetime. Our collaborator, chef Nina Clemente, created this recipe to bring together a balanced mix of savory, sweet, sour, and salty. The ramps in this mix come from the fertile banks of the Roeliff Jansen Kill, where we have bountiful patches. There’s a lot of big feelings about ramp harvesting, and we know how vulnerable plants can be when they get popular. We harvested ethically, taking only a leaf and leaving the rest.
Ingredients: Wild-Foraged Ramp, Organic Fennel Seed, Organic Citrus Peel, and Flaked Sea Salt
